Here is step-by-step guide on how to use the UOG CGPA Calculator:

1. Open the Calculator:

2. Enter the Data for Each Subject:

  • The calculator asks for Grades and Credit Hours for each subject.
  • For each subject:
    • Grade: Enter the grade you received for that subject (e.g., 4.0, 3.5, 2.0, etc.).
    • Credit Hours: Enter the number of credit hours for that subject (e.g., 3, 4, etc.).

Example:

  • For Subject 1: You received a 3.5 in the subject and the course has 3 credit hours.
  • For Subject 2: You received a 4.0 and the course has 3 credit hours.

3. Click “Calculate CGPA”:

  • Once you have entered the grades and credit hours for the subjects, click the “Calculate CGPA” button at the bottom of the form.

4. View Your CGPA:

  • After clicking the button, the calculator will perform the calculation and display your CGPA at the bottom of the form.
  • The CGPA will be displayed in a message, like:  Your CGPA is: 3.75

5. Optional: Add More Subjects:

  • If you want to calculate CGPA for more than 2 subjects, you can add more fields for subjects.
    • Copy and paste the input blocks for additional subjects, modifying the IDs accordingly (like grade3, credit3, etc.).
    • Update the JavaScript part of the code to include calculations for the extra subjects.

Example Calculation:

If you entered the following data:

  • Subject 1: Grade = 3.5, Credit Hours = 3
  • Subject 2: Grade = 4.0, Credit Hours = 3

The calculation would be:

  • Total Grade Points = (3.5 * 3) + (4.0 * 3) = 10.5 + 12.0 = 22.5
  • Total Credit Hours = 3 + 3 = 6
  • CGPA = Total Grade Points / Total Credit Hours = 22.5 / 6 = 3.75

The calculator would display:

Your CGPA is: 3.75
