Example Calculation

GPA Calculation Example:

CourseGradeCredit Hours
Course 1A3
Course 2B4
Course 3C2
  • Total Grade Points = (4.0 * 3) + (3.0 * 4) + (2.0 * 2) = 12 + 12 + 4 = 28

  • Total Credit Hours = 3 + 4 + 2 = 9

  • GPA = 28 / 9 = 3.11

CGPA Calculation Example:

SemesterGPACredit Hours
Semester 13.515
Semester 23.818
  • Total Grade Points = (3.5 * 15) + (3.8 * 18) = 52.5 + 68.4 = 120.9

  • Total Credit Hours = 15 + 18 = 33

  • CGPA = 120.9 / 33 = 3.66
